Dubai has a similar problem to Kuwait. It's not very photogenic. The difference is that where Kuwait is just plain uneventfull and mostly unattractive, Dubai is busy and colorfull, yet it's essentially a big shopping mall and hotel strip. It looks alot like what I'd imagine would happen if Las Vegas moved to Florida. Keep the neon, lose the fun.
This is a small example of the very modern architechture which constitutes the lifeblood (The hotel industry, that is) of Dubai.
This is the Main gate to the Gold Souk (market) in Dubai. It is their main tourist attraction.
A neat looking boat on some bay canal with a neat cityscape on the otherside. Did I really need to write that description?
A nice looking small boat on... oh wait; another caption that really doesn't need to be written.
Hmmm, guess what I'm going to write? Boy, you're so smart that I don't even need to Bother!
Some mosque or other on a street in Dubai. Man, this caption thing is just a total waste of time.
The Burj Al Arab, the only 7 star hotel in the world. The cheapest price for a room here is around $700 a night, but for the good stuff it can go up to tens of thousands per night. Craziness.
